05-11/08/11 Members of the ‘Variance of Njáls saga‘ research project will present aspects of their work to date in a thematic session at the 15th International Saga Conference, Aarhus, Denmark. Brief abstracts for the presentations can be found online in the Pre-Prints at pp. 62-63. The session will take place on Tuesday 7th August; the full conference programme is here.

08/05/12 Svanhildur Óskarsdóttir gave a paper about the project and Þormóðsbók (AM 162 b fol. δ) at the Medieval Scandinavian Seminar, Dept of Scandinavian Studies, University College London.

05/05/12 Susanne Arthur gave a paper about her research and the codicology of Njáls saga manuscript AM 396 fol. at the annual conference of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study, held in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.

March 2012

21/03/12 Svanhildur Óskarsdóttir and Ludger Zeevaert gave a presentation on Þormóðsbók (AM 162 b fol. δ) at the Þjóðmenningarhús in Reykjavík, as part of the series of lectures ‘Góssið hans Árna’. The lecture series was organised to celebrate the inclusion of the Árni Magnússon Manuscript Collection on UNESCO’s ‘Memoryof the World’ Register.

September 2011

Ludger Zeevaert gave a paper on the project and on linguistic variation in 14th-century Njáls saga manuscripts at the Arbeitstagung der Skandinavistik (ATdS) conference, University of Vienna.
